Each year is a roll of the dice and as you wait to see what kind of year you have in store, what we all want is a year that has the right balance. Too much of a good thing is just as challenging as too much of a bad thing and it appears that you have it just right this year. Saturn and Jupiter both returned to your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery in the final weeks of 2020 and this will be the dominant force in 2021. When looking to the challenges that any year might present we look to Saturn and when looking for the opportunities we look to Jupiter, who are rarely in the same area of your chart at the same time. That changed in 2020 when Jupiter and Saturn met up in your financial sector, making that a financial year full of both challenges and opportunities.
This year it is happening again but they have moved to a more adventurous field. This not only makes 2021 full of opportunities for adventure, travel, learning and discovery but for things like publishing, connecting with the world physically or digitally. The internet, publishing and even astrology belong to this area of your chart, as you search to expand your mind and enrich your experiences. This also puts Saturn and Jupiter at a friendly aspect to your Gemini Sun, for Saturn at some point over the course of the next three years and Jupiter over the course of this year. Saturn is here until 2023 but Jupiter will come and go and that is what gives this year more balance and variety. Jupiter will leave and return to your career sector from 14th May to 29th July, returning again on 29th December and then once more in 2022.
Jupiter will move into and out of your career sector three times over the course of 2021 and 2022 and with Neptune here from 2012 to 2026, this will bring the planets of luck and dreams together here for the first time in our lifetime. The balance between the adventurous and professional focus makes 2021 an exciting year. This is also a chance to get on top of things financially and no matter the experience of having Jupiter and Saturn together in your financial sector last year Venus, the planet of money will spend an extraordinary amount of time here in 2021. First from 9th January to 2nd February and then again from 6th November to March 2022. This is also a good year for you personally and with the North Node in Gemini for the whole of 2021, for following your own path and truth.
Because the lunar nodes have been policing a balance between your personal and relationship needs since May 2020 and will continue to until January 2022, this was always going to be a feature of 2021. Between them, the North Node in Gemini and the South Node in your relationship sector are always in opposition and like a finely balanced set of scales, they will alert you to when things are out of balance. This is not something new and has been your new normal since May 2020. The difference in 2021 is the amount of planetary activity on the relationship front. The Sun will always leave your relationship sector in December, but held back by a retrograde phase in Gemini Venus was late to return. That means that you will begin 2021 with the planet of love still in your relationship sector.
However, Venus is not on her own with the asteroid Juno, the queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships having returned in December 2020 as well. Venus and Juno are the two planets most associated with relationships and to start the year with both in your relationship sector indicates that this is going to be an important year on the relationship front, over and above what the lunar nodes have already created. Venus will leave on 9th January but instead of spending just two months here, as she normally would, a retrograde phase will keep Juno here until 15th November. Where last year Venus was held back by a retrograde phase, this year she is racing ahead and will be back in your relationship sector again by 8th October, reuniting with Juno again.
The year will even end with Mars in your relationship sector and not leaving until 24th January 2022 he will be here when the South Node finally leaves on 19th January 2022. 2021 has wall to wall relationship coverage, starting with the planet of love and the queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships at the wheel. While there is less planetary activity on the romantic front, with the most romantically charged months of 2021 running from 16th August to 31st October, the love influences will be throwing everything at this. As will be the case with his return to your relationship sector in December, Mars is making his first visit to your romantic sector since 2019 and will be one of the planets firing things up on the romantic front.
It was Jupiter and Saturn’s departure from your financial sector just before Christmas that ended the most intense focus on money matters in decades. As well as ending Saturn’s three year financial boot camp, after 12 months here Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion has planted the seeds for ongoing financial growth. Whether 2020 was a hard, challenging, expansive or opportune financial year it is likely to have been exaggerated, with those levels of intensity dialling back while you get to enjoy the benefits. Having graduated from Saturn’s financial boot camp you now can tackle anything, able to move into 2021 ready to take your financial power back if you haven’t already. There is none of that intensity this year but there is more than enough support to nurture the seeds sown.
The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of January in your financial sector, with every year beginning with the solar spotlight on your financial situation and money matters. You also begin the year with Mercury here, with the benefit of his smart head for money until 9th January. This is the same day that Venus, the planet of money returns and unlike the Sun’s reality checks and Mercury’s strategic approach to money matters, she is focused on fuelling your financial confidence, desires and expectations. Venus’ departure on 2nd February will leave Pluto, the planet of change and revolution on his own, as he had been for much of his time since returning in 2008 until Saturn returned in 2017. However, Venus will come full circle from 6th November but won’t leave until March 2022, ending this financial year in a very different way to how 2020 ended.
If the focus at either end of the year is on money matters as a whole and in particular what you do with and how you manage the money you have, then it is income potential that dominates the middle months of the year. While the Sun doesn’t return to your income sector until 21st June each year, Mars’ return on 24th April will get things off to an early start, with continuous planetary activity through to the Sun’s departure on 22nd July. This is thanks to Mars’ first visit since 2019 and the over two months that Mercury will spend here instead of the normal 14 to 15 days. The most lucrative month of 2021 is likely to be June.
To begin with, it is business as usual on both sides of the professional fence and nothing to suggest that there will be too many changes this year. The year begins with the last planet to visit your work sector in 2020 having just left a few weeks earlier, something that kept things in play much later in the year than is often the case. This means there will be plenty of momentum on the job front but most things have already been banked and are simply playing out. Until a new round of planetary activity on the job front begins later in the year, the days around a Full Moon on the job front on 27th April is the most significant event in the first half of the year. That is because it is in the early months of any year that career matters get their turn and this year is no exception.
Unlike your work sector, where there is no planetary activity until the faster moving planets move through Neptune, the planet of dreams and fantasies has been in your career sector since 2012 and will be until 2026. However, as a slow outer planet Neptune will remain in the background until the faster moving planets move through, then spending the rest of the year making sure that when they return they have a dream to work with. This active phase on the career front begins with the Sun’s return to your career sector on 19th February, with the solar spotlight always shifting onto your career and professional situation, matters and options at the same time every year. Venus’ return on 26th February and Mercury’s on 16th March will keep this active phase going until 4th April.
This is what you would expect in any year and is not only the bare minimum of planetary activity but a classic example of what to expect. It is a month later that this professional year takes an unexpected turn with Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion returning to your career sector on 14th May, seven months ahead of schedule. This is the first time that Jupiter and Neptune, the planets of luck and dreams have met up in your career sector in our lifetime but is not the last. Jupiter is here from 14th May to 29th July when he will retrograde back out, only to return on 29th December when he will leave and return again in 2022 as well. Jupiter won’t be here during the most active months of the year on the job front, which run from 11th September to 13th December but will set the wheels in motion for them and will return days later.
