Virgo 2021

2021 Overview

Virgo Horoscope
That 2021 is an exciting year professionally is one thing but the fact that it is also balanced with just as many exciting developments on the personal front indicates the right balance is possible. It was in the closing days of 2020 that Jupiter and Saturn, the two most powerful planets in the solar system returned to your busy and industrious work sector within days of each other. Having either one here would make this a massive year for work and job matters or for whatever it is that keeps you busy but to have both here, for the first time together in six decades takes this to a whole new level. Had it not been for the balance on offer and the fact that Jupiter will take a break during the year, there could be a danger of life becoming too busy.

There is still that danger but that is why having the lunar nodes policing a balance between work and play is just one of the safety features built into 2021. Another is Mars’ return to an adventurous part of your chart from 7th January to 4th March, Venus’ return to a playful part from 9th January to 2nd February and the fact that she will not only return on 6th November but won’t then leave until March 2022. However, it is Jupiter himself who will make sure that doesn’t happen and as he is a planet that not only expands things but doesn’t play the same long game Saturn plays, taking a break midyear will stop the year from becoming too busy. Jupiter will race through your work sector from 20th December 2020 to 14th May 2021, taking just five months to travel the same ground he will normally cross in 12 months.

This means that you will need to factor in a busy first four and a half months but Venus and Mars will be working during much of that time to ensure life doesn’t become all work and no play. While the professional momentum will continue, especially with things becoming active on the career front from early March, Jupiter will make an unexpected early return to your relationship sector on 14th May. Had Jupiter stayed in your work sector for the 12 months he normally does he would return in December. However, Jupiter will not only return in May but will visit your relationship sector three times over the course of 2021 and 2022, first from 14th May to 29th July, returning on 29th December and then leaving and returning again next year. Each time Jupiter will join forces with Neptune, with the planets of luck and dreams coming together for the first time in your relationship sector in our lifetime.

With Pluto in your romantic sector since 2008 and Neptune in your relationship sector since 2012, there was never going to be a point in any year when romantic and relationship matters went completely off the boil. However, after Jupiter and Saturn left your romantic sector in December 2020, this brought an end to their dominant focus and for some, Saturn’s challenges while leaving you the opportunities this has created. Pluto, the planet of change and revolution is here until 2024 so staying in a romantic rut was never going to be an option but it is Venus, the planet of love who will use the building blocks of the past to create something special on the romantic front this year. Venus never spent any time in your romantic sector in 2020 but the planet of love is going to more than make up for it this year.

Venus will return from 9th January to 2nd February and with the Sun always spending the first three weeks of January in your romantic sector, she is here to capture and expand on this. Venus is the last planet to make contact with Pluto, the planet that will keep things on a slow boil until she returns on 6th November. For a planet that didn’t visit your romantic sector at all in 2020 just to have the planet of love return for a second visit in one year is exciting. However, Venus will return but won’t leave or at least not until March 2022. A retrograde turn on 20th December will keep Venus in your romantic sector during the final months of 2021 and the early months of 2022, with her return from 9th January to 2nd February laying the seeds for what is to come. Meanwhile, there is also a surprise development on the relationship front this year.

While dreamy Neptune is in your relationship sector until 2026, it is the faster moving planets that create the most active months of any year on the relationship front and this year, this will begin with the Sun’s return on 19th February and will end with Mercury’s departure on 4th April. This is the short and very normal annual update that your relationships get each year. However, it is just over a month later that the unexpected happens with Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion returning to your relationship sector. Not expected until later in the year, Jupiter will retrograde back out again on 29th July but will return again on 29th December, where he will see out the year. This will be the first time that the planets of luck and dreams have met up in your relationship sector since 1856, with anything possible.

Starting the year with Mars in your financial sector will ensure you are ready to come out fighting from the get go, though you might be a little battle weary by this point. Mars, the warrior planet of the cosmos returned to your financial sector for what should have been a six week visit in June 2020 but a retrograde phase not only kept him here but caused you to go backward and forwards over the same ground. It was just before Christmas that Mars broke through into new ground not covered before and due to leave on 7th January, is ready to engage in one last battle before letting things run their course. Whatever battles you are fighting, whether of your own choosing or not, won’t continue into 2021 but might require one last push in the early days of the year.

With Mars gone but having spent nearly seven months fuelling your financial passions and fighting spirit and with both the scars and spoils of battle, by 7th January will you be ready to take your financial power back in whatever form that means to you. However, with Mars gone you will be ready to let things settle and play out and with the Sun not returning for its annual focus on money matters until 20th March, the money influences are needing a break as well. That annual financial review will run from the Sun’s return on 20th March to his departure on 20th April. With Venus here from 22nd March to 15th April and Mercury from 4th April to 19th April, both during the Sun’s month long visit, this will be a short refresher course.

It is not until the second half of the year that you will find the most lucrative months of 2021 but unlike the month that the faster planets will put the focus on money matters, they are spending a lot more time in your income sector. It begins with Venus, the planet of money’s return to your income sector on 16th August and will end with Mars’ departure on 31st October. This is Mars’ first visit to your income sector since 2019 but unlike the nearly seven months he spent in your financial sector last year, he is only here from 15th September to 31st October. However, what Venus can begin in August, the warrior planet of the cosmos will bring home over two months later.

You have arrived at what is not only a major professional year but at what could be a defining year, the start of a new era and the year that everything from now will build on from. While this is a year when there is wave upon wave of developments on the job and career fronts, there is a strong and powerful undercurrent that has changed everything. That change came in the closing weeks of 2020, when just before Christmas Saturn and Jupiter both returned to your work sector, together here for the first time in six decades. Saturn is here now until 2023 and this is what will lay down the foundations for years if not decades to come, taking his time to create secure and sturdy foundations. Jupiter on the other hand is here to create job growth, to expand your options and create a new sense of what’s possible. Unlike Saturn, who has begun a slow and steady three year journey, Jupiter will race through your work sector in five months, something that will normally take him 12 months.

Jupiter will leave on 14th May but this can be seen as his first ‘run through’, retrograding back in from 29th July to 29th December to go back over things more thoroughly. It is against this background that the rest of this year’s planetary activity will play out. Mercury’s return to your work sector on 9th January, the Sun’s return on 20th January and Venus’ on 2nd February will ensure there is plenty of support during Jupiter and Saturn’s early months here but also for the more mundane focus on work and job matters that happens at this time every year. This phase will run its course on 16th March. However, with Saturn here all year, Jupiter moving in and out, the Moon returning every four weeks and two Full Moons, the first on 24th July and the second a month later on 23rd August, work and job matters will never really go off the boil, indicating a busy year.

Meanwhile, while not with the same power that Jupiter and Saturn possess, having the North Node in your career sector all year means that you will have a constant sense of professional direction and momentum. It is the North Node that will be responsible for turning a New Moon on 10th June into a solar eclipse. This is right in the heart of the planetary activity on the career front which begins with Mercury’s return on 4th May and runs through to his departure on 12th July. You might notice a theme here, in that Mercury begins and ends the faster planetary activity on the job and career fronts this year, which for a planet that will normally spend 14 to 15 days in each shouldn’t be possible. Retrograde turns will keep Mercury in both for over two months, with this smart and intellectually savvy planet and your ruling planet and keeping an eye on things.
