 Aries 2020

2020 Overview

Aries Horoscope
Whether professionally or with your personal and professional goals and ambitions, this is a massive year for setting and reaching goals. In determining where the power in any given year lies, it is from combining where Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion is in your chart and where Saturn, the hard taskmaster of the cosmos but also the planet that gives you the power to move mountains is. The general rule is that you look to Jupiter for the opportunities that any specific year might bring and to Saturn for where the challenges might present. However, once every 20 years they come together and you have the opportunities and challenges come together and this provides enormous power. This allows you to put in the hard work and effort but then achieve a lot as a result.

It was in December 2019 that Jupiter entered your career sector, the most professionally charged and competitive part of your chart and when he did, he not only joined Saturn here but Pluto as well. It is in mid January Saturn and Pluto will align after two years together here, creating some major momentum. Yet as they do, all planets here will be confronted by a lunar eclipse on the home front that will bring a timely work/life balance reminder. These work/life balance reminders will continue through the early months of the year. Meanwhile, while Pluto will remain in your career sector all year and Jupiter until 20th December, Saturn will take some time out, returning to your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking from 22nd March to 2nd July. This is a chance to set some things in motion, with Saturn returning again on 17th December and Jupiter three days later, in order to there in 2021 what they are doing in 2020 in your career sector.

In the meantime, another important impact on this year is Mars and as your ruling planet, wherever he is this will have a marked impact on you. To begin with, Mars will fight against the professional juggernaut forming and will spend the first six weeks of 2020 fuelling a passion for adventure. However, he too will jump on the professional bandwagon or wherever it is that your competitive spirit and need to succeed is drawing you, from 17th February to 31st March. It is then that Mars will follow Saturn into your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, making this a fairly significant detour into focusing on personal and professional networking. However, by far the most significant impact Mars will have this year is with his return to Aries on 28th June, for what should be a six week visit aimed at firing up your passions, drives and competitive spirit. Instead, Mars will spend the rest of the year here, not leaving until January 2021.

Love

This year has the right mix of ingredients on the romantic and relationship fronts, with a slight bias towards your relationships. Fortunately, for all the right reasons. You begin the year with Juno, queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships in your relationship sector and while only an asteroid, this works to your advantage. Juno is small enough not to pose a challenge to planets that could push back if she got in their way, but having returned at the tail end of some active months late last year and not leaving until 20th September, Juno can quietly keep your relationships on track. With the faster moving planets returning to your relationship sector from 6th September and the last one not leaving until 22nd November, this covers much of the year.

In addition, while Venus, the planet of love will return to your communication sector on 4th April for what should be a 24 day visit to your communication sector, she will instead stay for four months, not leaving until 8th August. This is due to a retrograde phase from 13th May to 25th June, which will take Venus’ mission to give your heart and your relationships a voice and add a chance to give the past and unsaid words a voice as well. This is important because Juno will spend from 9th February to 27th May in retrograde motion. It is during the final two weeks of that retrograde phase that Venus will jump in.

In the meantime, while there is less planetary activity on the romantic front this year, what activity there is has all the right ingredients. While there will be no planetary activity on the romantic front until the Sun returns to your romantic sector on 22nd July, a romantically charged Full Moon on 9th February will whet your appetite and with perfect timing. For with Venus, the planet of love in Aries from 8th February to 5th March, this Full Moon will fall during her first full day here. This should be enough to jump start matters of the heart as Venus kicks off the most romantically charged weeks of the first half of the year. Held back by her retrograde phase in your communication sector Venus won’t return to your romantic sector until 6th September, but until she leaves on 3rd October she will work to make this some of the most romantically charged weeks of the second half of the year.

Money

You have two money houses and in the course of any year there will always be planetary activity in both and in most years there would be an equal distribution of planetary activity. In a typical financial year, the focus will move onto income matters as the Sun and the faster moving planets move through your income sector, typically around March and April each year. Then, six months later the same planets reach your financial sector, where the focus is more on what you do with and how you manage the money you have. While that is still the case in 2020, the typical pattern has been disrupted by the fact that you now have Uranus in your income sector and will do until January 2026. This means that there will be times in the year when the Sun and faster moving planets have the focus on either income or money matters but unlike money matters, income matters are in play all year.

In any year that would be an advantage but even more so as 2020 is a massive year for professional growth. With a massive amount of potential for professional growth, expansion and opportunity this year, this will come with income potential as well. While the whole year is potentially lucrative, this is especially so when the faster moving planets move through, with a crossover between Venus and Mars that creates a supercell of income and professional potential. Venus, the planet of money will move through your income sector from 5th March to 5th April and while these are typically the most potentially lucrative weeks of any year, Mars will add to this. The professional conditions are already extreme but you will have Mars, the warrior planet of the cosmos firing things up from 17th February to 31st March. Venus kicks off the most potentially lucrative weeks of 2020 right in the heart of this.

The Sun, in your income sector from 20th April to 21st May and Mercury from 28th April to 12th May, will continue to exploit this, while Uranus will keep the momentum going for the rest of the year. On the other side of the financial fence, you have the benefit of beginning the year with Mars in your financial sector, allowing you to begin this financial year with your financial passions and fighting spirit fuelled from the get go. While Mars will be gone by 3rd January, having spent the last six weeks of 2019 here, you have already begun to take your financial power back. After that, there will be no more planetary activity in your financial sector, where the focus is on what you do with and how you manage the money you have until Mercury returns on 27th September. This is the start of this year’s focus on money matters as a whole, which will extend through to Venus’ departure on 16th December.

Business

As far as professional years go there are different categories. You have your typical, low key year when all you have is the ordinary planetary activity that takes place on the job and career fronts each year. Then you have the next category, where there is planetary activity in one or other of your two professional houses all year, making this an important and even major professional year. And then there is one final category, where the conditions are so extraordinary that this can’t be compared to any other professional year and everything suggests one of the most defining professional years in a lifetime. For you, it is the latter category that this year falls into. However, this is not coming from out of the blue, with the concept of an ordinary or low key professional year ending with Pluto’s return to your career sector in 2008.

Pluto returned during Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion’s last visit and as the planet of change and revolution, he has kept things evolving since then. It was in December 2017 that Saturn returned and as both the hard taskmaster of the cosmos and the planet that can give you the power to move mountains, he has helped you put in the hard work required in order to build for the future, for two years now. The future arrived when Jupiter returned in December 2019 bringing Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn, the planets of luck, change and the planet that has the power to move mountains together in your career sector for the first time in our lifetime. After two years together Saturn and Pluto will finally align in January, while Jupiter and Pluto will align twice over the course of 2020, making this one of the most powerful and defining professional years in our lifetime. Professionally, 2020 is the year that everything until now has led up to and everything from now will lead on from.

Saturn will leave on 22nd March and return on 2nd July, giving Jupiter and Pluto a chance to focus more on growth, expansion and change, before returning to bring things home. Saturn will leave on 17th December and Jupiter on 20th December, while Pluto will stay on until 2024 in order to maintain the momentum. You will always start the year with the Sun in your career sector but while he and Mercury will both be gone by 21st January, it is Mars return from 17th February to 31st March that can really fire things up. Meanwhile, while there is major activity on the career front all year, the activity on the job front is contained within just a few short months. This will create a short, sharp burst in activity on the job front, starting with Mercury’s return to your work sector on 20th August and ending with Venus’ departure on 28th October, just over two months later.

 About Aries

Aries is good at fighting the good fight. Headstrong and impetuous, you rush in where angels dare not tread. Ruled by the planet Mars, you love to get in first anyway, and winning is important. The good Aries never backs down from a challenge. If anyone weaker needs to be protected, or an ideal needs to be defended, you are right there at the head of the column, and will fight to the end to see that Right prevails.

The trouble is that Aries doesn't always know what is right - bigger, noisier and better armed is not necessarily better. Winning is great, but not at the expense of honor. Make sure the cause is worth your zeal because things get downright ugly when you go to the dark side and start to fight just for the sake of it.
