 Pisces 2020

2020 Overview

Pisces Horoscope
The line between 2019 and 2020 was always going to be blurred, with the planetary activity that will dominate most if not all of 2020 having taken hold in early December 2019 and one of the major themes of 2019 not running its course until February. That kind of cross over is not uncommon and fortunately there will be no competition between the two. Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion wrapped up a 13 month visit to your career sector in the early days of December 2019 but the last of the faster planets only left in the closing days of last year. You begin with no planetary activity there and with a professional surge seemingly having just run its course. Even if that was the case this would still allow you to begin the year with a huge amount of professional momentum. However, this is not the end of the story, with Mars here by 3rd January and until leaving on 17th February, will work to exploit potential and give this professional year as much traction as possible.

In the meantime, there are major developments in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, which is the theme that will dominate this year, with major and positive implications on the personal and professional fronts. This is your friendship sector, where the focus is on teamwork, a sense of community, camaraderie and collaboration. Because the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of each year here, this is always an important theme over the New Year and the early part of any year. However, while Pluto has been here since 2008 and Saturn since December 2017, January is Jupiter’s first full month here in over a decade, with the planet of luck and expansion making this the most opportune and expansive area of your chart in 2020. Because this is not a cold start, this will see current friendships and associations become more important and important new connections made during the course of the year. While Saturn will leave from 22nd March to 2nd July, he will not wrap up his three year visit here until 17th December, just three days before Jupiter leaves on 20th December. This the most powerful, dominant and defining area of your chart and life during the course of 2020.

However, over and above the pattern that every year follows, with the faster moving planets moving through all 12 areas of your chart each year and always at the same time of year, there are a few outliers. Two of those outliers are Venus and Mars, who will both retrograde this year and as a result will spend over four times as long as they would normally spend in two lucky areas of your chart, singling out two areas of your chart for special attention. The first is Venus, who will return for what should be a 24 day visit to your home and family sector on 4th April but will instead stay here for four months, not leaving until 8th August. Mars’ special attention will go to income matters, returning for what should be a six week visit to your income sector on 28th June. Instead, not leaving until January 2021, Mars will arrive then spend the rest of the year here, making the whole second half of 2020 potentially lucrative.

Love

This year dials up the right amount of activity on the romantic and relationship fronts, bringing you everything you need and nothing you don’t. Though there is more weight on romantic matters, your relationships have the support of continuous planetary activity on the communication front all year. While there will be no planetary activity on the relationship front until Mercury, the planet of communication returns to your relationship sector on 20th August, a Full Moon on 10th March will be a catalyst for relationship matters in the first half of the year. What makes the timing of this Full Moon auspicious is that Venus, the planet of love returns to your communication sector on 3rd March so will be on hand to give your heart and your relationships a voice.

There is not a lot of planetary activity on the relationship front this year, with Mercury moving through from 20th August to 6th September, the Sun from 23rd August to 23rd September and Venus from 3rd October to 28th October. However, after Mars made his first visit in two years in 2019 and Juno, queen of commitment and especially commitment to your relationships her first in four years, you begin the year with a good sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you. Yet while this is a fairly low key year on the relationship front it is a different story on the romantic front. While the North Node will leave your romantic sector on 5th May, wrapping up a visit that began in November 2018, the eclipses that act as a portal for its ability to bring unexpected or even fated new beginnings have yet to run their course, with a lunar eclipse on 11th January and a solar eclipse on 21st June.

However, it is not just the North Node’s presence and its association with the future, luck and destiny that makes this an auspicious year for matters of the heart. In any year you would expect a Full and a New Moon in your romantic sector but this year you have two of each. Apart from the eclipsing Full Moon on 11th January, you have an ordinary Full Moon in your romantic sector on 30th December, while just four weeks after an eclipsing New Moon on 21st June you have an ordinary New Moon on 21st July. These two New Moons bookend the Sun’s month long visit, from 21st June to 22nd July. Meanwhile, while Mercury will normally spend two weeks giving your heart a voice and putting heart and mind on the same page, he is instead here from 29th May to 5th August. This will keep the romantic flame burning until Venus, late to return this year finally returns from 8th August to 6th September.

Money

On both the income and financial side of the fence you have the right mix of ongoing but low key behind the scenes support, but also with just enough variety to make this an exciting year on both fronts and on the income front in particular. To begin with it is business as usual, with a continuation of your 2019 financial year in every respect. An active phase on the financial front ran its course in November 2019 but you have the asteroid Juno, queen of commitment in your financial sector until 20th September. This will not only help to keep your financial situation and money matters on track, especially when it comes to your focus on what you do with and how you manage the money you have, but help you set financial resolutions and then stick to them. It is not until Mercury returns on 6th September and the Sun on 23rd September that you will have a chance to take care of any housekeeping, something that happens at this time every year. This will run through to Venus’ departure on 22nd November.

It is a similar story on the income front, in terms of the fact that you have had the dwarf planet Eris in your income sector for decades now, while Chiron is in the first full year of a seven year journey. Both will operate in the background until the faster moving planets move through, creating the most potentially lucrative months of any year. Here things are slightly different in that while, as is the case with money matters from Mercury’s return on 6th September, the faster moving planets will put the focus on income matters earlier in the year, there will be an additional chapter here. Some of most potentially lucrative months of 2020 begin with Venus’ return to your income sector on 8th February and ends with Mercury’s departure on 28th April. Here the Sun, Mercury and Venus are doing for income matters and potential, what they will do for money matters as a whole six months later.

This should be the end of the story and in a nutshell, an overview of what you can expect on both sides of the financial fence this year, except for the fact that this year the money gods have a wildcard up their sleeve, one that will change everything. That wildcard is Mars, who returns for what should be a six week visit to your income sector on 28th June. Even if this was an ordinary visit this would still be exciting, returning two months after Mercury left and this year’s more active months on the income front ended, in order to fire things up again. Mars is able to capitalise on what has already been created, as well as providing the muscle to push through communication barriers. However, six weeks will come and go and Mars will not move on and is, in fact here until January 2021. It is a retrograde phase from 10th September to 14th November that will keep Mars in your income sector for seven months, giving the warrior planet of the cosmos a lot of time to explore and exploit income potential.

Business

This year we have the return to what a typical or normal professional year looks like, which hasn’t been the case for many years, though to start with there is still some unfinished business. What a typical professional year looks like is planetary activity on the job front in the middle months of each year and planetary activity on the career front in the final months of each year. However, it has been a while since you saw a year like that, with Saturn in your career sector from December 2014 to December 2017, only to have Jupiter return in October 2018. Jupiter only left in December 2019 and with all planetary activity having ended just before moving into the New Year you are still adjusting to having no planetary activity in either of your professional houses. However, while the year begins with no planetary activity on the career front, this is more a chance to take a break over the New Year in order to catch your second wind.

For it is Mars’ return on 3rd January that will fire things up again and returning a month to the day after Jupiter left, there is a huge amount of momentum and untapped potential for him to capitalise on. While this is the ordinary visit that Mars will make once every other year, returning so soon after Jupiter left makes the timing of this visit exceptional. Until he leaves on 17th February, Mars will work to both give this professional year as much traction as possible and to exploit all the potential created over recent years. The warrior planet likes to live life in the fast lane, so expect a busy start to the year. It is while Mars is here that a Full Moon on the job front on 9th February could act as a catalyst for forces across the income, work and career fronts. Mars departure on 17th February will finally leave you with no planetary activity in either of your two professional houses and apart from the Moon’s monthly visits, it will stay that way until the Sun returns to your work sector on 22nd July.

Because Mars returned last year he won’t visit this year so it is just the Sun, Venus and Mercury moving through. The Sun’s return on 22nd July will kick off the most important and active months of this year on the job front and a period that will run its course when Venus leaves on 3rd October. However, while there is no planetary activity on the career front until the Sun returns on 22nd November, the fact that a Full Moon on 6th June is a lunar eclipse and the New Moon on 15th December will be a total solar eclipse means that something else is going on. There is only one reason why we have eclipses and that reason is the lunar nodes. In this case it is the South Node’s return to your career sector on 5th May and its position here until January 2022. While not a planet and with its focus mainly on the past and on completion, this is the perfect force to help you exploit the potential from everything you have invested and worked towards since as far back as 2014.
